ListenWifi is a tool that makes Hearing Assistance easier! We currently have the system in testing at St. Francis in Neligh and St. Bonaventure in Raeville.

It uses your own phone with the “ListenWiFi app” (available on iPhone or Android) to receive audio directly from the sound system. You can then use the bluetooth on ear buds, AirPods, or bluetooth hearing aids. Basically, if your phone can stream music to you hearing device, you can stream the church’s audio.

When I tested the system at another church, this was my setup:

• I had my iPhone connected to the wifi network for ListenWifi
• I opened the ListenWiFi App on my iPhone. It found the system and I chose the channel that was broadcasting.
• I used the Apple AirPods 2 with the Active Noise Cancellation “On” to not have an ‘echo’ because there is the slightest delay. I found the audio to be significantly clearer.
• I could adjust how loud I wanted the hearing assistance with my phone’s volume settings.
